The Mountain’s Selection Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese is a light paste cheese, perfumed and soft. The short maturation make it possible to taste the different flavors and perfumes of the milk.

This 4,5 kg cut is one fourth of the classic half Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese shape. It is prepared, sealed and shipped quickly so it arrives at your house keeping intact perfumes and flavors.

Already at 12 months, Parmigiano Reggiano is naturally lactose-free and has a very light straw yellow colour. Small crystals of tyrosine begin to appear in the pasta, an amino acid, indicative of maturation, which crystallises in free form.

Parmigiano Reggiano is a source of calcium, phosphorus, selenium, amico acids and proteins with high biological value, Parmigiano Reggiano aged over 24 months has a high satiating power, and is therefore often integrated into slimming diets .

Parmesan has a low glycemic index but being very rich in lipids, it should be consumed in moderation.
